Maximum Temperatures
As you can see, it appears that the global maximum temperatures are slightly away from the equator. The findings are not of concern given that an average over the course of an enitre year was not taken. Seasonal temperatures in locations experiencing summertime are expected to be just as hot if not more hot than at the equator. It is clear, however, that the peak is within a range around the equator.
